It is no secret that what you don't know can hurt you. In spite of that, we still go out of our way at times to avoid the truth. Men avoid doctors; women deny evidence of adultery. While the truth often hurts, deceiving ourselves ultimately will hurt worse.

In this 9-part series, Andy Stanley recounts how Jesus introduced some rather perplexing truth to seven individuals who had grown comfortable with their misinformed lifestyles and belief systems. For those who had the courage to embrace the truth, their lives were changed forever. They discovered firsthand that the truth can set you free. DOWNLOAD ONLY

Part 1 - Letting Go (Andy Stanley)

All of us have defining moments in our lives when we are brought face-to-face with an old principle or truth, and were forced to view all of life through that lens. If we believe things about God that aren't true, well never have intimacy with Him. John 8:31-37

Part 2 - Good Isn't Good Enough (Andy Stanley)

When Nicodemus came to question Jesus about spiritual matters, Jesus gave him a brand new philosophy to ponder: You must be born again. Jesus explained that physical birth does not result in spiritual life, and the only way to receive eternal life is to believe and accept Him. John 3:1-16

Part 3 - A Conflict of Interest (Andy Stanley)

The rich young ruler was owned by his possessions instead of being a manager of them. Who do we belong to? Our possessions, or to God? If you are governed by something other than God, you will never know true intimacy with Him. Mark 10:17-22, John 17:3

Part 4 - Seeing is Believing (Andy Stanley)

We don't have to understand everything to believe in something. The blind man could give no explanation of how Jesus had healed him, but could not deny the fact that He was the Son of God. Wise men and women place their faith in the undeniable, not the unexplainable. John 9:1-17

Part 5 - Thirsty? (Andy Stanley)

At some point in our lives, we realize that the things of this world will not quench our thirsts. God has put a thirst in all of us that can only be quenched by Him. The woman at the well was transparent enough to admit her thirst for dignity, love and friendship. Jesus gave her a relationship with God because she asked. If we ask, He'll satisfy and quench the emptiness in our souls. John 4:3-42

Part 6 - Games People Play (Andy Stanley)

We can't outsmart God. Avoiding the truth never leads to anything good. In conversations with people, Jesus always revealed truths that changed their lives forever. If we think like the Pharisees, believing there is no explanation for a situation, we underestimate the power of God. As we trust God, our prayer should always be, "Thy will be done." Matthew 22:15

Part 7 - Easier Said Than Done (Andy Stanley)

The urgent needs of this life are reminders of our ultimate need - forgiveness. Most times our felt need is not our deepest need. When Jesus forgave the lame man of his sins, then healed him, He proved He had authority over sin and its consequences. God will always value eternal forgiveness over physical wholeness. Mark 2:1-12

Part 8 - Playing God (Andy Stanley)

Control is a myth. When we attempt to take control of our lives, we assume a position in the universe that is not ours. When we try to control our lives, it opens the door to fear and anxiety. God is in control of the outcome in every situation. John 18:28-19:16

Part 9 - Imagine (Andy Stanley)

Why do we ignore death? After our deaths, we will give an account of our lives to God. How would our lives be different if we lived as if each day could be our last? 2 Corinthians 5:1-10, 3:12-15
