Part 1 - Where Does It Hurt? (Andy Stanley)

As Christians, we are to pursue reconciliation with others regardless of our expectations. We should pursue healing our broken relationships just as God continues to pursue a relationship with us. God's goal is not always to heal the relationship, but to heal our hurt and anger caused by the broken relationship. Genesis 32:3-33:9

Part 2 - Avoiding An Epidemic (Andy Stanley)

We are to pursue reconciliation with our family members regardless of our expectations. Andy Stanley explains that the quality of our relationships determines the quality of our lives; and that quality time flows from a quantity of time spent with those who we love. Ephesians 6

Part 3 - The Great Physician (Andy Stanley)

God wants to reconcile His relationship with us despite our sin. Therefore we should be willing to reconcile with others even if they haven't acted as we would like them to. We should never give up on a relationship because God never gave up on a relationship with us. Are our standards higher than God's? 2 Corinthians 5:17-21, Matthew 5:38-39, 5:43-48

Part 4 - Take Only As Directed (Andy Stanley)

When we choose to pursue reconciliation with someone, we must remember that the goal is not to get them to agree with us but to accept them in spite of everything that has happened. We must create a safe environment that is conducive to reconciliation. Remember that reconciliation sometimes requires that we shoulder the weight of the consequences and complications of someone else's sins. 2 Corinthians 5:18-19
